Silkscreen and ties!

Not my favorite part.

Almost there!

Ah.. favorite part.

And then... finished! For my brother's 18th birthdays I decided to make them each a tie.  They have a couple of nice events coming up so I thought it would be cool if they had their own personalized tie to wear to them.  One is "Gimme Gimme More" because my bro loves Brit, and the other is a balloon animal for my other brother because... well its precious.  They better appreciate them because this was a late night for me and all involved. But it was fun :)

Packaging is DONE!

Told you they were almost here! And one day later... what do you know.  I am really happy with them.  It was something completely new for me and I put a lot of time into this project to make it come together.  So happy with the product. Introducing Abroad Affairs Lip Gloss!

Photo Gallery - clicked image

In my image class we had an assignment to either create a design for a website or redesign an existing website.  I chose to design a website for my Uncle's band, Legend the Band, which already has a website but I thought it would be fun to do something close to home.  The band is a 50s and 60s rock and roll cover band so I wanted to keep it looking vintage and simple.  The designs are basically what the page would look like on the home page and what would happened if you clicked a link.  It is not actually being made, the point of the assignment is to think about what things would do on the page and what it would look like.

View Book Illustration #3!

"Artist's revitalize spaces."

I was asked to do one more illustration for the CCS View Book after the first two I had submitted to them last week.  I was pretty excited but only had a few days to complete it so it was spontaneous and fun.  I loved making all the "frames" and just getting crazy and creative with the designs.

Sydney Refurbished.

After taking a look back at my Sydney illustration, I decided it I needed to rethink the composition... so I did! I like it much better now. Plus it's hot pink and that's awesome.

Falling for Beijing

I am trying to decide... guy with color? or without color?  I feel like I am leaning more towards without color so the focus is entirely on the girl but feedback is appreciated!  I've also designed the pattern which I will post later.  Falling for Beijing! And yes, the guy was inspired by my fabulous fiance!

Viewbook

"The community, the people, the businesses, the culture, and the revitalization of the city."
-representation of revival and growth

"Cultural diversity, the music, the art!"

So, my professor Don asked me and two close friends, Veronica and Ray,early this week to do illustrations for the CCS viewbook. We had to illustrate quotes about Detroit that were provided to us, it was pretty much open to interpretation in any way on our part. I just wanted to use a combination of line, texture and pattern to showcase the quotes.
